Job Opportunity: Psychologist Positions at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospitals - Nebraska

Madonna
Rehabilitation Hospital is currently hiring for three full-time
positions available in the Neuropsychology Departments of our Lincoln
and Omaha campuses.
1. Outpatient Neuropsychologist in Omaha
to perform neuropsychological assessment and consultation. The
psychologist will perform detailed testing using standardized
neuropsychological assessment procedures. Madonna works with a broad
range of diagnostic groups, including persons with traumatic brain
injury, mild TBI, stroke, dementia, and other neurological disorders.
Madonna provides several outpatient multidisciplinary clinics which
provide opportunities for briefer assessments and teamwork.
2. Inpatient/Outpatient Psychologist in Lincoln
to work with our inpatient rehabilitation teams and perform some
limited cognitive assessments. Madonna provides inpatient and
outpatient services to persons who have experienced traumatic brain
injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, and many other conditions. The
psychologist will work within our continuum of care, providing brief
cognitive assessments, psychoeducation, rehabilitation counseling, and

3. Health Psychologist in Omaha.
The Psychologist would be implementing assessment and intervention in
Health Psychology. A primary current focus of the position would be on
evaluating and treating persons who are struggling with persisting
symptoms following a COVID infection. Madonna is developing a Model
System of Care in collaboration with other facilities across the nation,
to focus on this area. However, the position will ultimately include
work with other patient populations, focusing on health and wellness
among the persons we serve, primarily persons with disabilities,
injuries, or chronic medical concerns.
4. We are also offering a two-year Neuropsychology post-doctoral training program,
under the supervision of a board-certified neuropsychologist. Our
post-doctoral program offers a rich diversity of training experiences in

Requirements are flexible. Must possess current NE licensure or
eligible to obtain licensure within 14 months of hire. Training and
experience in the above areas are helpful qualifications, but we will
consider well-trained generalists with good teamwork skills and a

The Counseling and School Psychology Clinic (CSPC) invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship position starting Fall 2023. The CSPC is a training clinic within the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The CSPC offers an array of psychological services to support the mental health, behavioral health, and emotional health of children, adolescents, and adults. The Assistant Director of Clinical Services will be responsible for the supervision and coordination of the clinical services of the center. The position will assist in management of the clinical requests, including increasing appointments at peak times, and reviewing client flow by utilizing our clinical data to inform our service delivery and to reallocate resources when necessary. The psychologist in this position is expected to function as a professionally-responsible mental health care provider to UNL students by providing diagnostic services, treatment, consultation, and education. Facilitating individual, group, and relationship counseling sessions, the psychologist will engage student clients to establish therapeutic relationships that address the emotional, educational, and developmental needs of students. Providing initial evaluations and crisis intervention services are essential to the position. This work requires the psychologist to perform routine case records management, consultation with professional colleagues, correspondence with and on behalf of clients, and interactions with other professionals in the University Health Center and across campus. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
PhD or PsyD in Psychology or related discipline from an approved training program (or equivalent) along with one year of an APA doctoral internship required. Experience in a multidisciplinary psychological setting. Eligibility for licensure as a Psychologist in the State of Nebraska (must meet the requirements for sitting for the national exam for licensure) within two (2) years of hire. Must have ability to form effective therapeutic relationships with students. Coursework and experience in provision of supervision is required as the person filling this position will contribute to the CAPS supervisory team and to the training of doctoral interns. Demonstrated expertise working with underrepresented and first generation students necessary. Sensitivity, knowledge and effectiveness in working with a diverse student population, including ethnic minorities, gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender students, and other under-represented groups essential. Ability to consult and present educational programs related to educational, developmental , and mental health issues required. Ability to consult and present educational programs related to educational, developmental, and mental health issues, especially regarding underrepresented student concerns necessary. Considerable knowledge of personality theory, psychopathology, normal and abnormal development, techniques of psychotherapy and factors relating to individual and social psychopathology required. Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary mental health team, and with other health professionals, University faculty and staff, and the general public essential. Knowledge of and experience with psychological assessment instruments required. Must have knowledge of referral sources and indications for appropriate referral.
COMPENSATION
