NPA Legislative Committee

The State Legislative Committee (Legislative Committee) recommends and monitors the implementation of APA and NPA state policy, standards and guidelines for the profession of psychology, state legislation, and maintain relationships with other professional organizations and groups appropriate to its mission. This committee coordinates with contracted lobbyists to propose to the Board and Association ways to enhance the profession of psychology, and fostering the application of psychological knowledge in order to promote public welfare through legislative action. The committee reviews and recommends area of focus for the lobbyist on an annual basis..
