NPA is excited to announce we have been awarded a Small State Organizational Grant from APA Services to help fund executive director salary and lobbyist services in 2021. This year’s grant, in the amount of $12,500, is especially essential in light of the significant financial strain experienced and additional association resources needed to serve NPA members and Nebraska mental health practitioners during the pandemic.

APA Services is providing up to $250,000 for Small State Operational Grants in 2021 to state psychological associations to support the professional needs of psychologists. During this cycle, the APA Practice Directorate received requests from 25 SPTAs for a total amount of funding that exceeded the pool of grant money available. The grants are administered by the APA Practice Directorate and the Committee of State Leaders (CSL. As part of the review process CSL recognized the need of small states to receive assistance in maintaining central office operations.

NPA very much appreciates the continued financial aid of the Practice Directorate and Committee of State Leaders (CSL), and their commitment to supporting small state associations especially during this time of overwhelming financial challenges.
