ECPs — join us for the live-streamed ECP SPTA Collaborative Meeting via Zoom hosted by the Maine Psychological Association. Join us for a discussion with Diana Prescott, PhD on rural psychology and the unique opportunities and challenges facing early career psychologists practicing in rural communities. In this session we can explore strategies for addressing workforce shortages, expanding access to care, building a successful career, and creating meaningful professional connections while serving diverse rural populations. Diana Prescott PhD

Dr. Prescott completed her BA at Butler University in psychology and Spanish, her PhD in clinical psychology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and her predoctoral internship at the IU School of Medicine. Dr. Prescott directs a rural health consulting practice dedicated to the care of women and children. She serves as Federal Advocacy Coordinator for the Maine Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association. Dr. Prescott has presented nationally and internationally on rural integrated care.

what does a successful reputable practice look like;
clients served, marketability and how to reach them;
income needs, insurance, expenses, and cash flow.

Nathan Sudbeck, PsyD

Nathan Sudbeck, Psy.D. is a Board Certified Clinical Psychologist licensed in both Nebraska and Iowa. Over the past 15 years he has worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, outpatient clinics, community mental health centers, and high schools. Dr. Sudbeck has facilitated Day Treatment Programs, Anger Management Courses, DBT groups, and both Individual and Couples Counseling. He has taught graduate-level courses, conducted hundreds of psychological evaluations, participated in various research projects, and presented for the Nebraska Psychological Association (NPA) Leadership Development Academy.

Until 2026, Dr. Sudbeck served for several years as the Ethics Committee Chair and the Federal Advocacy Coordinator for NPA. He is an active member of the American Psychological Association and is a recognized Member of the National Register of Health Service Psychologists. Dr. Sudbeck currently owns and operates TRUE Counseling & Psychological Services, LLC, an expanding private practice located in Omaha, NE.

ECPs — join us for the live-streamed ECP SPTA Collaborative Meeting via Zoom. Jerry Walker, PhD, ABPP, MSCP will speak on leadership and his career path which includes working as the director of health and wellness for a large military intelligence organization, manager of three behavioral health departments for the largest hospital system in Nebraska and now the Executive Director of Mental Health Services for TimelyCare, a national telemedicine organization which serves college students and faculty. Q&A along with informal conversation will follow.

Jerry Walker, PhD, ABPP, MSCP

Dr. Walker serves as the executive director of Mental Health, overseeing the care quality, operational efficiency, and strategic direction of TimelyCare’s expansive network of mental health providers. Before joining TimelyCare, Jerry was a manager of three behavioral health departments for the largest hospital system in Nebraska and lecturer for the University of Nebraska graduate school and medical school.

A U.S. Air Force Veteran, Jerry is a licensed clinical psychologist, board-certified in counseling psychology (ABPP), who has managed mental health, suicide prevention, disaster behavioral health, integrated primary care behavioral health, and substance abuse prevention and treatment programs at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Virginia. He then worked as the director of health and wellness for a large military intelligence organization, serving as both a clinical psychologist and industrial/organizational psychological consultant. Jerry has also worked as a sports psychologist and private practitioner (in-person and telehealth).

Dr. Walker earned a Ph.D. in counseling psychology and human systems from Florida State University, a master of science degree in clinical psychopharmacology (MSCP) from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and bachelor’s degrees in both psychology and communication studies from the University of Texas, Austin. Jerry is also a board-certified medical practice executive (CMPE), a board member for his state psychological association, and a certified Lean/Six Sigma black belt professional.
