Veterans Administration – Nebraska Western Iowa Health Care System is seeking licensed Psychologists to practice in our Omaha, Lincoln, and Grand Island outpatient clinics.

1. The Omaha VA

The Omaha VA is looking for a full time Psychologist to work in our residential psychiatric and addiction recovery program, which includes both residential and outpatient programs. The Psychologist will work with a multidisciplinary team of providers. The primary duties of this position include providing clinical services such as admission screenings, psychotherapy, and psychological evaluations. 2. Omaha VA Campus

Our Omaha VA campus is hiring for a full time Psychologist to work in our Primary Care Mental Health Integration program. The primary goal of PCMHI is to assist Primary Care teams with identification, treatment, and management of mental health and behavioral medicine conditions in the Primary Care Multidisciplinary Team setting. 3. Omaha VA Campus

Our Omaha VA campus is looking for a full time Psychologist in the outpatient Mental Health Clinic.  The position serves as one of the psychotherapy providers and neurocognitive screeners for the interdisciplinary treatment team, and also includes work with our APA accredited Psychology Internship program.  Recruitment bonus incentive is also approved for this position for qualified candidates. 4. Omaha  Campus

The Omaha campus has a Women’s Health Specialist Psychology position available.  It is currently funded through September 2023, and permanent funding is expected.  The position will be located within the Women’s Health Care clinic, and will support Women Veterans with general mental health services as well as having an outreach component as well. 5. Lincoln VA Campus

7. North Platte

  • The typical workweek is 40 hours, Monday – Friday, without call.  Telework is part of some of our positions, although at this time none of our positions are 100% telework.

Your current unrestricted license in any state, territory, or commonwealth of the U.S. or District of Columbia allows you to practice in the VHA. (VA Psychologists must:  be U.S. Citizens; possess a doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program accredited by the APA, PCSAS, or Canadian Psychological Association; and have successfully completed an APA-accredited, predoctoral internship training program--or be ABPP certified in the specialty area.) We will consider licensed psychologists and unlicensed postdoctoral psychologists (or those just finishing internship) for these positions.
